Community Involvement & Special Events
At Little Acorn, we believe in providing educational experiences that extend beyond the classroom. Our in-school and after school activities are offered at a minimum of once a month. Scroll down to see just a few of the awesome educational events and visitors that we've had at the center over the years.

Annual Art Show
Every year in November, the students at Little Acorn have their own art show. This awesome event is a showcase of the students' artwork and highlights how the children use different mediums and methods within each of our educational units in order to grow essential fine motor and creative arts skills.

This past spring, we had the petting zoo stop by to give our students an experience touching some of the animals that we had been talking about in class!

Little Acorn Learns How to Save the Bay!
Save the Bay came to visit Little Acorn and brought along some of their aquatic friends to teach us about the creatures that live in the ocean and how we can help them stay safe.

Lincoln Police Visit
In addition to the Lincoln Fire Department, Little Acorn hosts the Lincoln Police Department each year. The police spend a morning at the school teaching our students about what it means to be a police officer and how to stay safe within our community. This past year, our students were even invited to sit inside of one of the new police cruisers!
